Using Binary Sensors for room occupancy
A quick and easy way of using multiple sensors for room occupancy in Home Assistant is to use Template Binary Sensors.
The Aqara Motion Sensor is a wireless device that can detect motion in a room. At its core, it is a PIR (passive infrared) sensor that can detect the presence of people or animals in the room. When the sensor detects motion, it sends a signal to a connected smart home system, such as the Aqara Gateway, which can be used to trigger actions based on the presence of motion.
