Using Binary Sensors for room occupancy
A quick and easy way of using multiple sensors for room occupancy in Home Assistant is to use Template Binary Sensors.
The Philips Hue Dusk-to-Dawn Outdoor Motion Sensor is a smart home device that can be used to detect motion outside your home. It is designed to be used with the Philips Hue smart lighting system, and can be used to turn your outdoor lights on and off automatically based on the amount of light detected. The sensor has a built-in photocell that can detect when it is getting dark outside, and will turn your lights on automatically when it gets dark. It also has a motion sensor that can detect movement up to ca. 5 m (16.4 ft) away, and will turn your lights on when it detects motion. The Philips Hue Dusk-to-Dawn Outdoor Motion Sensor is weather-resistant, making it suitable for use outside.
