Comparing native Roborock integration with Home Assistant v2023.07 and the latest HACS custom component using Roborock S7 MaxV vacuum for analysis.
Release date: March, 2023
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is a high-tech cleaning robot that comes equipped with an all-in-one docking system. This system enables the robot to automatically mop, wash, and dry, thus preventing the growth of mould and unpleasant odours. The dock also refills the robot's water tank and extends its mopping range up to 3230 ft (ca. 1 km)². The robot employs a dual rubber brush system that effectively cleans and reduces hair tangles. It features a powerful 6000Pa suction that quickly picks up debris, dust, and hair from hard floors and carpets. The VibraRise 2.0 technology gives the robot a high-speed scrubbing ability, allowing it to clean a wider mopping zone more effectively. The S8 Pro Ultra's brushes and mop can be lifted when needed, enabling it to clean carpets and hard floors separately, and avoid leaving stains. The robot also uses 3D structured light and infrared image technology to identify unknown objects on the floor and bypass them.
